SUMMARY:

TEC Group is partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing company to identify a Senior Accountant that is a great leader, is a self-starter and works well in a team-oriented environment. Lead role in accounting team to help develop other staff and make process improvements, while maintaining ledger accounts, income and balance sheet statements including consolidated statements. Handles complex accounting activities. May perform a variety of analyses or projects relating to financial accounting procedures, methods or systems. Provides supervision to less experienced accountant(s) and to clerical staff.

BS Degree and 5+ years of experience required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Collaborates with accounting team and other departments to resolve financial and accounting issues.

2. Prepares and reviews data contained in the general ledger, sub-ledgers and other financial systems to ensure accuracy, completeness and reasonableness of recorded financial transactions.

3. Reviews/prepares entries in the financial reporting system with proper supporting details, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of any accounting problems.

4. Leads and monitors the monthly close process and reconciliations of general ledger accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.

5. Performs financial statement variance analysis, investigates irregularities and reports results to management.

Skills

1. Ability to accurately prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, maintain financial accounts, investigate issues and present results to management.

2. Ability to consistently apply U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) in the preparation and maintenance of general ledger accounts, along with income and balance sheet statements.

3. Ability to work in a multi-company environment and to apply consolidation concepts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
