Vision Service Plan seeks Sr. Software Engineer in Rancho Cordova, CA.
Duties: Owns the design construction, development, testing, implementation, and technology delivery for business needs throughout VSP Global. Responsible for technical aspects of the entire process of agile development for large complex projects. Supervise or coordinate activities of other personnel as necessary within Agile development cycle. Design, code/develop, test and implement complex systems. Design solutions to solve complex business problems, considering operational and functional aspects of the solution demonstrating an in-depth understanding of the business function and related functions. Define solution scope to deliver early business value. Ensure objectives are clear to all team members. Lead and monitor the work of other development staff. Mentor Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities. Utilize advanced technical knowledge to influence GTS system architecture, and future technological vision. Drive constructive change, simplifying and improving the performance of critical systems, improving maintainability and providing leadership. Telecommuting permitted.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related fields plus 6 years of experience in software engineering or related roles. Employer will
accept 3 or 4 year Bachelor degrees.
Requires any amount of experience in the following skills:
- Designing intranet architecture using SharePoint Online;
- Administration and support; and
- Perform incident and change management;
- Microsoft Teams Administration and features like apps and meetings policies;
- Sites and network share files migration using tools like SPMT, Mover and ShareGate;
- Configuring Microsoft Search, gateways and experienced with client side development tools including Master pages, Javascript, jQuery and C#;
- Microsoft 365 administration and configuration of its workloads: SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Power Platform, Azure AD, M365 groups, MFA, SSO, DLP and Power Shell;
- Building custom Teams apps using App Studio;
- Plan and implement end user adoption, trainings, and champion programs;
- Creating flows and apps using Power Automate and Power Apps; and
- Power Platform administration, governance, documentation and end user adoption.
This position is eligible for the incentive based Employee Referral Program.
$152,818 - $162,500/yr.
