Position: Sr Specialist – Detailed Scheduling

Job Location: Hershey, PA

Job Summary:

The Detailed Scheduling Specialist will develop and manage Hershey’s detailed scheduling process and toolset (currently Blue Yonder Sequencing, eventually Kinaxis Rapid Response – PlanetTogether). The role will serve as liaison between the manufacturing facilities and supply chain planning teams through all stages of plan development and execution. As a member of the Supply Planning Center of Excellence, the Detailed Scheduling Specialist will provide training and technical support while sharing best practices across global supply chain planning functions. Also, they will support the development of advanced planning capabilities, technologies, and methodologies to help optimize Hershey’s total supply chain.

Role Responsibilities:

25% - Responsible for developing and maintaining scheduling models in Blue Yonder Sequencing tool, utilized by Operations Planners at all Hershey’s Core Plants. Provide support and training when needed.

45% - Develop detailed scheduling capabilities in Kinaxis Rapid Response – PlanetTogether as part of Hershey’s Integrated Dynamic Planning transformation. Become the subject matter expert for all aspects of the tool providing support to Operation Planners around the globe.

10% - Develop Schedule and STO conformance KPIs; monitor, perform root cause analysis, and provide feedback to operation planners and manufacturing leadership.

20% - Become expert in related Supply Planning processes to enable development of global planner capabilities via training, sharing of best practices and technical support.

Qualifications:

• Experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) supporting manufacturing/packaging procurement applications.
• Blue Yonder (Sequencing) and/or Kinaxis (Rapid Response/PlanetTogether) detailed scheduling system experience.
• Blue Yonder and/or Kinaxis Rapid Response supply planning experience.
• Experience working with SAP ERP (ECC, S/4) and inbound/outbound interfaces.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) a Plus.
• Comfortable with operating in a structured business environment that demands both a reactionary and proactive mindset.
• Highly productive with minimal supervision.
• Strong collaborative and communication skills.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Computer Information Systems, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field is desired.
• Five years of experience in supply chain planning in Detailed Scheduling, Materials Planning, Logistics, and Inventory Control strategies.
