Job Description:

We are looking for creative individuals who can work effectively with people of different skills and backgrounds. The successful candidate will have some coursework or experience with FPGA (preferred) or ASIC design using a hardware description language such as VHDL (preferred) or Verilog.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• RTL Design, implementation, validation, system integration, and support of high speed digital FPGA designs in compliance with written specifications within a DoD process controlled work environment.
• Assist with bids, proposals, specification creation and updates, participation in code and design reviews.
• FPGA verification through simulation and unit testing.

Baseline Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise in either VHDL (preferred) or Verilog development language.
• Applicants must be self-motivated and willing to work within company defined development processes in order to meet customer’s schedule and budget needs.
• Familiarity with code revision management tools (preference for Git/Bitbucket and/or Clearcase).
• Expertise in FPGA simulation, synthesis, and placement software tools such as ModelSim/QuestaSim, Synplify, Xilinx Vivado and/or Intel Quartus development tool sets
• Networking protocol or cryptographic design experience.
• Expertise in laboratory debug techniques using digital scopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and other complex measurement devices.
• Experience with FPGA timing closure.
• Working knowledge of digital video/audio, cryptographic algorithms, networking, TCP/IP/UDP, signal processing, control systems, wireless communications and reading hardware schematics.
• Familiarity with C/C++ is a plus.
