The minimum salary is $16.492 per hour
This is a non-exempt position eligible for overtime, if applicable.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this classification is to provide staff support by performing a variety of administrative duties
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Two (2) years of experience
- High school or GED
- Years of related education may substitute for years of related experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains electronic and paper files in accordance with LFUCG’s records retention schedule andresponds to open records requests as assigned.
- Answers, screens, or dispatches calls, emails, and/or visitors.
- Performs a variety of skilled office, administrative and clerical duties to include: data entry,research, reporting, taking/transcribing meeting minutes, scheduling, and/or composingcorrespondence .
- Serves as receptionist, payroll, purchasing, and/or insurance-coordinator, as assigned.
- Performs related work as assigned
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- All positions require drug testing and background check before employment and may require a post-job offer physical.
- Some positions must have the ability to be bonded.
- May be required to possess a valid driver’s license.
- May be required to pass a polygraph test
- May be required to perform shift work, rotating shift assignments or call-back during emergencies.
- Depending upon area of assignment, subject to a polygraph and an extensive background check prior to employment and/or after employment.
- In accordance with CAO Policy 23R “Acquisition of Real Property From Property Owners under Certain Notices and/or Orders”, no employee who works in a Division with regulatory or civil enforcement authority over real property located in Fayette County shall acquire an interest in real property in Fayette County with any outstanding citation, notice or order from the Division in which he or she works regardless of whether the citation, notice, or order was issued by the employee or someone else in the Division. This policy extends to immediate family members and the Commissioner of the Department in which the identified employee is employed. Employees may be required to disclose all real property owned by the employee as well as his/her immediate family members. Property and business ownership exemptions may apply. Must be able to operate Urban County Government equipment and vehicles in a safe, prudent and responsible manner.
