Staff Pharmacist

As a full time, nonexempt, CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist at Hospital Bella Vista Hospital in Mayaguez, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter and verify orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.

Schedule: This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week, rotating day and evening shifts, weekends and holidays. There is also an on call rotation every third week when the pharmacy is closed.

Facility: Hospital Bella Vista is a non-profit, 155-bed acute-care hospital, with an average daily census of 130 patients, and serves the community in Mayagüez and the island of Puerto Rico. Founded in 1954, the hospital is operated by the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Meditech is the pharmacy order entry system. The pharmacy is open weekdays Monday-Friday from 7am-7pm and weekends/holidays 8am- 4:30pm. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

Qualifications:

• Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
• Current Puerto Rico pharmacist license active and in good standing
• Recent experience working as a Pharmacist in a hospital setting preferred
• Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
• Ability to work cooperatively with other members of CPS and hospital and pharmacy staff.
• Must speak fluent Spanish
• Must reside in Puerto Rico

Hospital Requirements: (may be required)

• (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
• (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
• Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
• Hep B3 Series (or declination)
• (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
• COVID Vaccine-Full (required)
