Steel Fabrication Estimator

Utah Fabrication located in Tooele, Utah is a steel fabricator that works in the Mining and Minerals, Chemical Processing, Light Rail, and Commercial and Municipalities Sectors. We are in search of an individual with experience as an estimator in steel fabrication. The successful candidate should have, but not be limited to the following traits:

- Prior experience in Steel Fabrication preferred

- Ability to read blueprints, spec, and SOW

- Ability to work with customers, engineers, and contractors to meet their requirements

- Must be personable and easy with customers.

- Be able to sell the project through intimate knowledge of every project that is bid

- Work and coordinate with the production team for current and forecast future projects (detail oriented)

- Not afraid to ask questions

- Strong organizational, time management and communication skills are a plus.

- Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects while being able to prioritize the workload and work with minimal supervision.

- Ability to use software i.e., OST, Plan Swift, etc. to takeoff and quantify the project needs

- Knowledge and working experience with Estimating/Project Management software is a plus.

- Knowledge and working experience with MS Office required

- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
