University Store

Job Summary


Assist with the maintainance and daily operations of a retail store. Supervise student staff to maintain efficient processes, procedures, and programs and protect product integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, stocked, and well-organized sales floor and stockroom; ensure product, fixtures, register stands, entry ways and general retail space are well dusted, thoroughly cleaned, and free of debris; overall product presentation should be neatly displayed and fronted
  • Assist with the supervision and mentorship of student staff; encourage compliance with store policies and procedures as well as optimal customer service and store maintenance practices; coach and reprimand student staff as necessary
  • Assist the store manager with the planning, setup, and operation of off-site events
  • Assist with the merchandising of the sales floor by creating product displays to promote sales and seasonal events; displays should rotate frequently to showcase different merchandise and ensure a fresh, engaging shopping environment
  • Consult with the team about upcoming promotions, events, and seasonal trends
  • Utilize system reports to monitor inventory discrepancies, analyze sales data, and reorder goods
  • Assist with shipping and receiving; pull and process web orders; receive new shipments; process transfers and returns

Required Qualifications


Educational Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience

  • Three (3) or more years of related work experience

  • Bachelor's Degree

Proposed Salary


$15.96 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
