However you choose to work with us, you’ll learn new skills while making a difference in girls’ lives.

We are looking for team members who are level-headed in all situations, cooperative with fellow team members, and enthusiastic about working with children and young adults in an active indoor/outdoor camp environment.
Experience with children is preferred. Come work with our campers at Camp Edey in Bayport, NY. We offer programs for girls ages 5-15 including a sleepaway camp experience.

Summer Camp 2023

Camp Edey is located on 95 acres on the beautiful San Souci lakes in Bayport and has been home to amazing Girl Scout outdoor experiences for over 75 years. Our camp has two pools, an archery range, a gaga ball pit, a disc golf course, hiking trails, and even a frog-friendly pond. Our summer camp program includes things our girls love—like scavenger hunts, outdoor sports, amazing weekly themes, and STEM + Art activities in a safe and fun environment that fosters her sense of adventure.

• Dates: June 26-August 25, 2023, 9 Weekly Sessions (Week 2 is 3-days only due to Independance Day)
• Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• For Girls Only, Grades 1-9 in Fall 2023

Mandatory Team Training will be from Tuesday, June 20 - Friday, June 23, 2023

Available Positions: *Certifications required for select positions.

Assistant Camp Director

Responsibilities include session scheduling, staff scheduling, check-in and out procedures, off-site trip leader for teen group on a weekly basis, and program facilitation to ensure the highest quality experience for each camper—1 year of Resident Assistant, Resident Camp, or related field.

• Schedule: M-F/ 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
• Dates: June 12 - August 25
• Salary: $22 per hour

Overnight Assistant Camp Director

Responsibilities include session scheduling, staff scheduling, check-in and out procedures, nighttime routines, and program facilitation to ensure the highest quality experience for each camper. The role will also require an overnight stay in sleeping quarters for on-call supervisory responses between 11:00 pm - 8:00 am. Any work performed between these hours will be compensated at the hourly rate.

• Schedule: M-Th/ 3:00 - 11:00 pm. Friday check out at 9:00 am.
• Dates: July 5 - August 18
• Salary: $25 per hour

Camp Resident Assistant (RA)

The RA will be the main point of contact for our international camp counselors, so the impression of our camp with our visiting staff depends on your friendliness, dependability, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a smart and trustworthy individual able to provide warm greetings and handle all incoming requests. The goal is to contribute to an overall pleasant experience to increase Camp Edey’s reputation and ensure sustainable growth. *Candidate must be 21 years+

• Schedule: M-F/ 5:00 - 9:00 pm; Saturday 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.
• Dates: July 5 - August 18, with one training session TBD.
• Salary: $20 per hour

Aquatics Directors*

Must possess a CPR Professional Rescuer certificate issued by the American Red Cross and be at least 21 years of age; Have 3 or more seasons of previous waterfront experience as a lifeguard and/ or camp aquatics director.

• Schedule: M-F// 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
• Salary: $23 per hour

EMT / Health Supervisors*

The EMT/Health Supervisor will manage the health center records for the day camp facilities. They support campers and staff with illnesses, injuries, and medicine distribution. Registered Nurse (RN) with a license as required by that state law or E.M.T Basic Certification. Experience in first aid and emergency management.

• Schedule: M-F/ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
• Salary: $25 per hour

Lifeguards*

Lifeguards assist the Aquatics Director with the aquatics program and pool maintenance to ensure camper safety and that required standards are met. Must be American Red Cross certified and be 18 years or older. Waterfront certification is a plus.

• Salary: $20 per hour
