Job description

The Northbrook Park District is seeking Swim Instructors to teach swim lessons at our outdoor aquatic facilities during the 2023 pool season! Training is provided to become Starfish Swim Instructor licensed.

Hours & Pay

Hours vary including mornings, evenings and/or weekends.

Starting at $15.00 per hour depending on experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Teach swim at our outdoor aquatic facilities to individuals ranging in age from 6 months to 14 years old.
• Facilitate swim lessons according to set lesson schedule.
• Begin and end lessons on-time.

Job Qualifications

Must be 15 years of age with a work permit or older and have swimming experience. Must hold, or have ability to obtain, Starfish Swimming Instructor License. Must be able to guide, instruct and lead children through directions. Experience working with children is preferred.

May infrequently lift and/or move objects 50 pounds or greater with staff assistance.
