Summary
Responsible for supervising the warehousing and shipping of incoming and outgoing materials. Supervises warehouse personnel.
Responsibilities
Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members.- Supervise the daily activities of the warehouse.
- Schedule warehouse team members to meet the demands of the facility.
- Manage line efficiencies, key performance indicators and down time.
- Monitors the warehouse process, makes periodic checks and adjusts equipment or work practices according to standard operating procedures.
- Ensures equipment in the area assigned is in working order and that working conditions are always safe .
- Verify the readiness of the warehouse line at start-up and supervise change overs.
- Manage overall package and product quality to ensure all standards and specifications.
- Assist and maintain appropriate inventory levels and product loss control.
- Secure company assets.
- Manage within labor and OPEX budget.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-3 years manufacturing experience required
- Requires experience managing people/budgets.
- 2+ years supervisory experience
- Computer and database application skills.
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems preferred
