Supply Chain Planner Sr. I (2202839) – Freeport, TX

Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to develop the rough-cut plan for the highly backward integrated Polyamides value chain in Freeport. The rough-cut plan is aligned with all parties who provide input as well as with the master planners and raw material planner. If tolling is required to meet the customers’ or internal needs, then you will plan and arrange the appropriate toll productions.

As the rough-cut planner, you play an important part in the monthly S&OP meetings and their preparation. You also provide inventory projections to Senior Management. The rough-cut plan will enable you to forecast the co-products creation to our internal and external customers. Using the rough-cut plan, you will own the planning processes for all packaging materials. In addition to planning and executing plans for critical components, you will guide the warehouse and shipping clerks to order the right amounts of supporting materials to maintain the appropriate safety stock levels.

Further, you will be the Master Data expert, who develops and executes the material master data strategy, drives the creation and set-up of master data, and guides the Product Development team to provide the information necessary for master data set-up. As a result, master data are consistent, SDSs are correct, and inventory ownership is accurate.

Formula for Success

• Leveraging your education in Supply Chain or a similar field and your Supply Chain experience, you will align the Business Plan from Business Management, the outage schedule from Production Management, the TAR Plan from Asset Management, the Demand Plan from the Sales Team, and interregional transfer plans as well as inventory targets from the Global Strategic Marketing Team to achieve a feasible rough-cut plan. The rough-cut plan is the basis of the S&OP process.
• Demonstrating your strong leadership ability, you guide the master planners in the preparation of TARs, the Production teams in the preparation of the Capacity plan, and the warehouse teams in keeping appropriate inventory levels of packaging materials based on the long-term production plan.
• Your analytical thinking ability will be essential as you optimize the rough-cut plan with regard to cost and inventory.
• Using your strong interpersonal skills, you will balance the conflicting interests of business management, operations management, and other parties. These skills will also serve you as you initiate material transfers from other regions.
• Your effective communication skills will serve you well as you get buy-in for the rough-cut plan from Operations Management and Business Management (Director and VP-level).
• Your significant computer skills will enable you to use and coach others in the use of various IT systems including SAP R/3, OMP+, SPASS, BW, SCI.
