SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Operations Manager, reporting to Director, Supply Chain Operations, leads the day-to-day operations and is responsible for managing and implementing industry standard techniques for inventory control management, receipt, storage, issue, distribution and return of stock and non-stock items for Grady Health System. The Supply Chain Operations Manager provides strategic leadership, direction and oversight for his/her respective department and works closely with Supply Chain Leadership to develop and execute well-defined business strategies. Individual will lead according to Grady Health System Values: Be Patient Centered, Be Safe, Serve Others with Excellence, Do Right, Do Good.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversees the accuracy and productivity of the Shift Leads, Inventory Specialists, and Sr. Inventory Specialists.
- Responsibilities include staff training of inventory fundamentals and related applications, inventory reconciliation and replenishment.
- Adjusts workflow, employee schedules, and procedures to maximize department effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
- Responsible for conducting and reporting the results of the Physical Inventory for all warehouse locations.
- Responsible for accurate bin locations which identify item attributes (Grady Number, description, unit of measure) required for picking and stocking.
- Responsible for accurate forecasting and demand management of par levels to reduce stock-outs.
- Runs reports to manage backorders, inventory valuation, stock-outs, obsolescence, slow/non-moving supplies, etc.
QUALIFICATION
Required: College graduate or equivalent training and experience
Preferred: Master’s degree
Required: 2 - 4years of managerial experience in a healthcare environment
Preferred: 5 - 8 years of managerial experience in a healthcare environment
Required: Knowledge of inventory control related to shipping, receiving, and distribution. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred: Project Management Certification, Lean Six Sigma Certification, 5S experience, Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP) Certification
