Seeking an experienced Full-Time RN to join our surgery team. If you love the mountains and enjoy the outdoors, then CPMC is the place for you! A CPMC surgery RN works in a variety of Perioperative nursing roles including Pre-op, Intra-op, and Post-op. The perioperative nurse uses a both a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Responsibilities include assisting surgeons and the surgical team to care for the patient before, during, and after surgery. Surgical specialties include General Surgery, Pain Procedures, Ophthalmology, Gynecology, Obstetrics, ENT, Orthopedics, and Endoscopy.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Basic knowledge in electronic documentation.

Knowledge of nursing care principles, practices, and procedures.

Knowledge of safety principles and infection control in the patient care environment.

Ability to assess patient’s needs and coordinate appropriate nursing care.

Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.

Ability to develop perioperative patient plan of care.

Knowledge of AORN and Montana Nurse Practice Act.

Possess problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

Requirements are as follows:

Graduate of Accredited school of nursing, current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Montana Must have or obtain a Montana RN license.

Current certifications in BLS and ACLS (within 6 months of hire if not current).

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required upon hire.

Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR) certification preferred.

Schedule:

Hours involve day shift Monday-Friday, 0630-1500 including a rotating call schedule. Call days include rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The hours may change and vary depending on the needs of the department.
