Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team! This is a full time position working Monday - Friday plus call.


The OR is a 6-bed unit plus a 3-bed endoscopy suite offering a full range of surgical and endoscopy procedures, including orthopedic, robotic, urology, plastics, gynecology, podiatry, ortho/spine, vascular, pain and general surgery. Our highly skilled team of healthcare professionals is dedicated to keeping our patients and their family healthy.


Responsibilities


  • The Surgical Technician shall be responsible for preparing the operating rooms for surgery using appropriate techniques, providing technical services, and performing in the operating room as assigned and directed
  • Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, assists with rendering surgical nursing care of patients of all ages throughout the surgical experience
  • Assists nurse manager in areas delegated
  • Facilitates schedule with the OR and CS to provide efficient flow and completion of surgery schedule
  • Represents the department in all aspects of customer service

Qualifications


  • Certificate of graduation from an accredited School of Surgical Technology or military equivalent
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) license (or military equivalent) required upon hire
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Surgical Tech in an acute care hospital operating room or surgery center setting required
  • Orthopedic and general surgery experience preferred
  • Experience in Cath Lab or Endoscopy procedural areas a plus
  • Robotic experience REQUIRED
  • No regular on-call required but may be required to be on-call at least one (1) holiday per year
