Position Overview

Our Systems Analyst are the technology magicians of our hotel! The Systems Analyst position is responsible for assisting guest and employees with any technical needs. They will also provide direct guest support to function rooms and conference services. The System Analyst along with the Shared Services IT team will ensure that all critical systems are available 24 hours per day (hardware and software). They will establish and maintain user and system security procedures consistent with control requirements and corporate policy. Maintain effective support for end user support process, other systems, including back office, sales & catering and human resources applications or any other property application. Though skillfully trained, they never lose sight of their ultimate reasonability, to create lifelong memories for our guests.

As a System Analyst at The Beverly Hills Hotel, your compensation will be $34.00 per hour.


What you'll do

A day in the life of our System Analyst… it demands high levels of energy in order to keep up. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and creativity to tackle daily adventures. Listing all of the tasks that our System Analyst accomplish would be lengthy but the list below is essential to know.

Our System Analyst work with the team to answer phone calls, emails, and helpdesk tickets on a day to day basis. New users creation in Active Directory, Office 365, and user onboarding. Troubleshoot hotel applications (Opera PMS, Micros Symphony, Sales & Catering, etc.) and work together with vendor support to solve problems. Our System Analyst is responsible for the implementation and troubleshooting of software and hardware solutions. Support Office 365/Exchange, Active Directory, Windows Server (both physical and virtual machines using VMware), managed antivirus, and Windows Update Services. Understanding and troubleshooting network inconsistencies including DNS, DHCP, services, ADUC, group policies, etc. Basic understanding of Telephony VOIP support (Adds, moves, changes, and hardware testing).


  • Our System Analyst must have knowledge of in room automation and hospitality grade in room entertainment a plus. Work with various departments to identify functional, technical requirements, and make suggestions based on the needs. Mus work closely with the annual hotel IT Audit and response to various sections delegated by Director of IT and act as a point of escalation for 1st tier support personnel.


  • Sometimes our guests have special requests involving providing unique service to our guests who need technical assistance. Most of these requests are fulfilled by our System Analyst


  • Our hotels are truly luxury hotels. This requires preventing and correcting the imperfections and blemishes that tend to come up. Our System Analyst are relied upon to report these and work with several other departments such as IT and Engineering staff on system maintenance, development, training, and documentation.


  • Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. Our System Analyst must communicate with other departments and extended hotel team in order to ensure the alignment remains. Must act as a liaison for external vendors and contractors.

QUALIFICATIONS & DESIRABLES

  • Minimum three years’ experience in the technology sector with strong helpdesk skills required. A good understanding and usability of Cisco switching, Windows Servers, networking concepts, backup strategies and recovery, Active Directory, Alcatel-Lucent VOIP, Office 365, Citrix and hotel applications are strongly preferred.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to relate to all levels of management.
  • Cisco, VMware, and Palo Alto experience a plus.
