ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Licensed, Appointed, and Tenured New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) teacher

SELECTION CRITERIA:

• Demonstrated knowledge of middle and high school curriculum in Green, Renewables, and Sustainability pathways contextualized for construction, transportation, distribution, and logistics
• Ability to adapt the curriculum for a variety of learners, including students with disabilities, multilingual learners, and over-age/under-credited youth.
• Three prior years of Satisfactory rating as a Teacher Assigned or three prior years of Effective or Highly Effective rating as a Teacher.
• Willingness to travel to different locations to deliver professional learning (PL) opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, design, deliver, and evaluate PL opportunities.
• Extremely well-organized; able to work under pressure and meet frequent and changing deadlines.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• High standards for personal excellence, with the ability to learn quickly and continuously and be responsive to constructive feedback.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in working with education personnel internal and external to NYCPS.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create, review, and select curriculum in pathway-aligned subjects.
• Support schools and teachers in adapting curriculum to the needs of middle and high schools.
• Plan, design, and facilitate professional learning opportunities in education, social work, and business pathways aligned to up to six occupational pathways such as P-12 educators, social workers, business operations, marketing analysts, etc.
• Plan and design pathway-specific learning activities for students, families, and school communities.
• Design PL and instructional materials, including pacing guides, PL activities, workbooks, assessments, etc.
• Conduct outreach and communicate with school staff to ensure that all events and curricula are implemented smoothly and with fidelity from start to finish.
• Assists the FutureReadyNYC team in the administration of program efforts, including outreach, registration, and program support.
• Collaborate with Superintendent instructional staff to support PL planning and implementation.
• Attend and participate in team and department meetings.

Hours:

As per UFT Collective Bargaining Agreement

9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday Through Friday

School Year plus five additional days during winter, spring, or summer recess pursuant to UFT Contract.

Salary:
