VCA South Shore (Weymouth) Animal Hospital is seeking a part time Veterinary Technician Assistant to work at our 24-hour emergency, referral, multi-specialty and general practice clinic in South Weymouth, Massachusetts.

Being a support to our doctor and technician teams in a variety of specialties by maintaining a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients is a primary function of this role. Day to day responsibilities of the veterinary technician assistant include: restraint and handling of dogs and cats for minor procedures and treatments, feeding and caring for dogs and cats, walking dogs, bathing dogs, cleaning cages, cleaning and maintaining the hospital premises, cleaning hospital instruments and equipment, restocking supplies, and setting up supplies for basic procedures and assisting our doctors and technicians.

Candidate must have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends and some holidays and be at least 18 years of age.

Compensation: $17.00 - 18.00 / hour
