Job description
As Manager, Talent Development, you will be responsible for executing Talent Development (TD) work and initiatives for VF Brands, specifically focused on The North Face. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Talent Development for VF Brands. You will have the opportunity to support the organization by delivering Talent Development programs, facilitating Talent Development processes, and serving as a Talent Development client partner for The North Face’s Human Resources Business Partner’s and business leaders.
How You Will Make a Difference
What you will do:

Responsible for the execution and delivery of Talent Development (TD) priorities in support of the business agenda and in alignment with VF’s global TD programs and processes

In partnership with HR and business leaders, activate central VF talent initiatives and processes for The North Face, including talent review, performance management, succession planning, talent analytics, talent pools, internal talent brokering, top talent/potential initiatives, etc.

Deliver and facilitate central development programming.

Support the identification of strategic capabilities within The North Face. Partner with VF CoE to identify and leverage current tools and options to execute action, change management and localized upskilling plans.

Collaborate with appropriate program owners to integrate IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity, action), People Leadership Expectations, and EVP (employee value proposition/experience) practices in all TD priorities.

Partner with key stakeholders (e.g., HR Business Partners, Business Leaders, Talent Acquisition & Recruitment, IDEA, Enterprise Talent Development) to ensure alignment and continuity across efforts to create a seamless leader, manager, and associate experience.

Understand the internal/external data and marketplace to identify trends, implications, and business priorities.

Act as the primary lead for People Leadership Expectations priorities, activation, and effectiveness measurements for The North Face.

Participate as a member of various enterprise Talent Development Program or Core Process teams to inform thought leadership, approach, activation, and success measures.
Incumbent/Candidate characteristics:

5+ years of experience.

Strong project & program management skills - clear, simple, elegant, and effective.

Strong assessor of talent and able to coach for development, with exceptional consultative and facilitation skills and ability to influence to get results.

Capability and comfort with developing connections with and influencing people inside and outside of an organization through collaboration. Able to navigate a matrixed environment.

Team player able to build collaborative relationships with co-workers, interdepartmental partners, internal clients & external partners.

Digitally savvy.

Experienced and skilled in training and facilitation with large and small groups, with a strong and inviting presence.

Innovative thinking, grounded in a research and data-based approaches.

Hands-on and ‘can do’- approach.

Willing to travel 10-15%
Salary Range:
$79,488.00 USD - $119,232.00 USD annually
Annual Incentive Eligibility:
