Training Manager

HYTORC, the worldwide leader in Hydraulic Torque Tools, is currently seeking a trainer who wants to develop and deliver training on industrial bolting using patented torque tool technology. HYTORC has partnered with ASME and OSHA to deliver effective, value-added training to a wide variety of learners in multiple industries. HYTORC is looking for an individual with excellent communication skills, in-person and online delivery experience with a mathematics or engineering background.

Job Duties:

• Conduct formal and informal training in the principles and practices of industrial bolted joint assembly. Students will come primarily from the ranks of customer maintenance and contract maintenance personnel involved in bolted joint assembly with HYTORC tools. Instruction will include classroom theory and hands-on skills testing with an emphasis on improving safety, quality and schedule for our customers and their people. Training will include formal OSHA and ASME course work as well as other sanctioned classes in compliance with standards. Internal training for our company personnel will also be required as needed.
• Develop and support training programs for select major customers to ensure they are being properly served. Although primarily responsible for the Northeast U.S. these duties may require limited domestic and occasional international travel.
• Promote the interests of HYTORC by establishing our reputation for truth-telling and solution reliable answers with regard to bolting; indirect sales support and value-added services as described in the goals of the HYTORC Bolting Institute.

Ideal Candidate / Requirements:

• Understanding of Adult Learning Principles.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with effective in-person and online delivery, particularly technical skills to adult learners.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Ability to perform simple algebraic formulas.
• Preferred experience creating eLearning.
• Preferred Mechanical Engineering, mathematics, or related background.
• Preferred experience in industrial maintenance, particularly pressure vessels and piping.
• Domestic and international travel 50% or more.
