JOB OVERVIEW

To maintain the safe and expeditious transfer of product from moguls to condition rooms using powered hand jack.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Remove product from conditioning rooms and place on the shakeout line using a powered hand jack.
• Complete sensory taste testing to ensure product is up to required specifications before moving on in the manufacturing process.
• Must Report food safety and quality issues to Plant management and SQFP
• Follow PIM Brands GMP rules
• Monitor fellow employees for adherence to GMPs.
• Carefully feed the pallet trays into the mogul machine.
• Assist mogul operator and clear any jams during production.
• Inspect equipment for cleanliness and safety and brings any safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Abides by the safety policies such as lock-out-tag-out.
• Ability to work additional hours as needed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling and crouching. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools and controls. Lifting and moving of objects weighing at least 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations will be evaluated and considered to enable an individual to perform the essential job functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job will generally be performed in the manufacturing plant. When on the plant floor it is representative of a large, busy manufacturing operation. Noisy, active, objects on the floor, constant movement and traffic flow of motorized equipment. Hair net, beard net, assigned work uniform, protective eye wear and gloves are among the GMP required apparel that must be worn, if indicated, on the plant floor.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

• High School education or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills are required.
• Experience using a power hand jack.
• Willingness to be trained in functions outside of the day-to-day responsibilities of the role.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English is required.
• High sense of urgency
• Team player
• Accountable
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish/Creole) language a plus, and strong overall communication skills required.
• Strong focus with the courage, drive, and discipline to execute.
