8:30 am – 2:30 pm; Monday – Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours required, as necessary.
A Teleworking rotation is available once onboarded and training is completed into this role of 1 – 2 days per week.

Primary Purpose of Position
There are four primary areas of contribution that will be expected from the University Program Associate AGEP-NC grant.
  • Develop and implement a communications plan, review the items on the UNC Charlotte alliance webpage and make sure that the website is updated as needed.
  • Provide support as needed to clear the way for the PIs to continue to do their work. This will include activities such as making new videos and other materials, reaching out to fellows to remind them of where they may find data and resources, planning and scheduling meetings to keep the provosts and deans, all of the department players, the UNC Charlotte members of the Student Leadership Council more fully engaged in the AGEP-NC project and to more fully integrate their perspectives and expertise into the AGEP-NC operations.
  • Assist in preparing data for annual reports, sense making initiatives and department plans for enhancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the doctoral programs.
  • Assist with preparing (including gather and verify the email lists for the evaluation survey for students and faculty) , distributing, and analyzing results from the pre and post-participation surveys of graduate students and faculty in the participating departments and reporting the results to the departments and to the AGEP-NC community.

Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

University Preferred Qualifications:

Graduation from a four year college or university and two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Essential Job Duties
The UNC Charlotte AGEP-NC Program Associate will participate as a full member of the Alliance leadership team. The successful candidate will assist the AGEP-NC PIs in administering the project and collecting project data. Responsibilities will include assisting the AGEP-NC PIs in several areas, including but not limited to:
  • Develop and implement a communications plan for the UNC Charlotte AGEP-NC program , including managing the website, Google drives, distribution lists, social media, newsletter, and other materials.
  • Draft annual reports.
  • Plan and schedule informational and business meetings and organizing alliance-wide meetings.
  • Support the faculty fellow’s activities and initiatives.
  • Engage the Student Leadership Council to integrate more fully their perspectives and expertise into the AGEP-NC operations.
  • Collect and prepare data for annual reports and department plans and collect and verify email lists for surveys of students and faculty.
