We're looking for an experienced and ambitious VP, FP&A to join our Finance team to lead and grow our global FP&A function.
We are specifically looking for Finance professionals who have worked or are currently working in a high growth public company and have experience with both traditional ecommerce and transactional business models as well as experience working with subscription products. Knowledge of Salesforce environments is a plus. The FP&A team members are key partners of the operating teams and drive the financial planning, revenue forecasting, budgeting and other financial metrics for the company. This is a hybrid role with the expectation that the individual will spend some time in our Needham, MA office when necessary. You will report to our CFO, Mike Noonan.
This is an important and highly visible role within Tripadvisor. The previous two heads of FP&A have each moved on to key operating roles within the Company.
What you'll do:
- Serving as a primary finance partner to brand Tridadvisor, Tripadvisor Group Corporate and The Fork, leading the end-to-end financial planning including P&L, BS and Cash Flows.
- Leading the monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes, including management reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, board of directors meetings and cash flow forecasting.
- Developing and building a successful team that produces rich insights, plans, and forecasts with a high degree of clarity and accuracy.
- A strong thought partner to the C-Suite as we navigate complex business challenges and determine how to grow and evolve our business
- Maintaining dashboards to supervise key performance measurements and monitor business performance.
- Providing management with insights into drivers of revenue and expenses, as well as risks and opportunities.
- Evaluating and advising on growth opportunities such as new product launches, international marketing, business model changes, and M&A.
- Structuring, building, and maintaining complex financial and decision-making models to develop meaningful insights and practical recommendations.
- Identifying and driving cross-functional initiatives to improve process, systems and automation to help the business scale
What you'll bring:
- 10+ years of directly applicable experience with time spent in FP&A within a public, high growth, technology company
- Experience managing an impactful FP&A team
- A strategic mind-set and experience working with companies going through significant strategic shifts
- Experience managing to a global P&L across multiple business units and regions
- Public company experience
- Superb analytical/quantitative and communication skills and strong executive presence
- Ownership mentality and proven track record to independently drive projects to completion, with high attention to detail
- Demonstrated thought leadership and manages relationships with senior partners
- An attitude to challenge the status quo, managing with a sense of urgency through ambiguities with a desire to consistently improve
- High degree of confidence, but low ego
- Executive presence and gravitas to engage with key internal and external stakeholders
- Energy, self-motivation and leadership that can cultivate a culture of pride and performance

The salary range for this role is $215,000 to $295,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. An employee's pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. This compensation range may also be modified in the future.
