We are seeking an in-house VoIP Engineer to be responsible for the implementation, support, and maintenance of our current and future enterprise VoIP network systems and applications.

Our VoIP engineer requires a deep knowledge on asterisk and understanding of the main Network and VoIP protocols. This position will collaborate on the design and support of VoIP communications, including servers, gateways, PBXs, SBCs, and similar technologies, working on a team environment.

This position mostly works on CentOS with Asterisk. You will be exposed to many of our systems and most likely modify them at some point. You predominantly work to enhance the technolgy that operates a 700+ seat call center, receiving thousands of calls per day with our proprietary system that has locations globally.

Job Duties:

• Develop and maintain code for voice services and real-time communications.
• Develop and maintain automation of code deployment for bugs and features in voice services and real-time communications.
• Work with senior staff to become a subject matter expert of voice products and services.
• Collaborate members of other teams to design and implement new products and services.
• Develops, maintains and modifies new applications and software systems based on pre-existing specifications.
• Performs testing and code reviews of proposed changes by fellow developers.
• Bug fixes, code reviews, and responsiveness to our operations organization.
• Communicates with users to gain understanding of needed modifications to existing programs and processes

Qualifications Required:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience
• 5+ years professional software development experience
• 3+ years backend development experience in a Linux environment
• Extensive experience with Asterisk, Python, MySQL is required
• Extensive development experience in any or all the following: PHP, Perl, Lua, Python
• Extensive experience using Relational Databases
• C#, MS SQL Server, Azure, Fortigate, PowerBI, Javascript are a plus
• Experience with SIP/RTP and other real-time communication protocols
• Proficient in version control using git
