To perform Shipping and Receiving activities daily for the R&D Shipping & Receiving areas at Research Park, 155 Greenway, and Bioscience facilities.

• Inspect delivery trucks for suitability and unload incoming shipments from carriers.
• Receive, sort and sign for all Fed Ex, UPS, or other courier services, and trucking carrier packages.
• Log incoming parcels by scanning into the tracking system program, verifying accuracy of package contents against the packing slip or purchase order (when necessary).
• Receive chemicals, components and supplies into warehouse inventory utilizing the internal computer system.
• Inspect chemicals against shipment paperwork and weigh the contents to ensure accuracy.
• Deliver incoming parcels to appropriate personnel or Office Services utilizing the internal tracking system program.
• Prepare, pack and label all skids, boxes, or pails for shipment via ground or air in accordance with Estee Lauder, DOT, IATA & 49CFR regulations.
• Will be required to handle Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods.
• Transport hazardous waste from the labs to the warehouse and will log and properly store the waste in their appropriate locations.
• Process outgoing shipments via the UPS and Fed Ex systems.
• Prepare BOL for outgoing shipments requiring special trucks.
• Provide back-up support to other warehouse operations functions when necessary. These functions include but not limited to: Raw material pre-weighing, breakdowns, assembly / delivery, inventory movement, shipping & receiving activities.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean work area and assisting with general housekeeping of the warehouse.

Responsible for following all guidelines and standard operating procedures for safe and proper handling of chemicals, mass, components for GMP and safety compliance. Special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications - External

JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years’ experience preferred

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills required; must be able to read and write English.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Individual will be required to continually lift or move containers ranging from 5 to 30-gallon containers weighing 20kg to 120 /150 kg.
• Must be able to handle 55gal / 200kg drums.
• Will be required to handle containers of hazardous waste properly.
• Must demonstrate ability to operate material handling equipment in a safe and proficient manner
• Will be required to receive training and certification on shipping hazardous materials within six (6) months of appointment. Previous Dangerous Goods experience is preferred.
• Individual must be able to multitask and have the ability focus on executing priorities as directed by the area Supervisor.
• Individual must be detailed oriented.
• Individual must possess excellent time management skills.
• Individual must be able to work well with others and demonstrate excellent customer services skills.
• Must be able to operate a personal computer and possess learning agility skills.
• Must maintain a good attendance and safety record
• Must be trained in use of: RDS, SCLogics System, SAP (viewing knowledge only), and Excel.
• Previous SAP experience is preferred.
• Previously certified in D.O.T. Hazardous Shipping & Packaging of Dangerous Goods regulations is highly preferred.
• Previous Powered Industrial Truck license is preferred.
• Individual will be required to learn and adhere to GMP Compliance requirements
• MACHINES /INSTRUMENTS USED:

Telephone, Calculator, Personal Computer, Hi-Lo, Hand-Held Scanner, Dock Transporter, Hand Truck, and Hand Jack and manual pallet weighing machine.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
