Birch Hill Catering in Schodack, NY is looking for a wedding and special events sales manager to join our 63 person strong team. We are located on 1 Celebration Way Castleton on Hudson NY.

Responsibilities

• The ideal applicant will be outgoing, detail oriented, and dedicated to providing exceptional client service
• Responsible for sustaining relationship with existing clients and soliciting new catering accounts to meet and/or exceed revenue goals, coordinate and service client functions to ensure customer satisfaction
• Negotiate pricing to generate contracts, proposals, BEOs and other letters of correspondence to deliver a seamless experience while building client loyalty
• Rebook existing accounts as well as develop, negotiate, qualify and book new business through solicitation of outside sales calls
• Maintain up-to-date Banquet Event Orders for client signature and internal distribution; secure guaranteed guest count, and deposit payments
• Assist and oversee day of event setup and logistics with the team as needed including day-of coordination for weddings
• Flexible hours as schedule is largely event driven

*Facilitating all initial inquiries with the corresponding information requested via phone calls and email *Consistent contact with new leads to book appointments for tours

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• 2 years sales experience in either wedding or corporate event planning
• Willfulness to work with clients of all socioeconomic backgrounds
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet all deadlines
• Effectively communicate with all guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, and courteous manner (both oral and written)
• Local travel and vehicle required for sales appointments and events
