• Minimum 6+ years of professional work experience, including 4+ years of graphics development experience in conveying complex ideas with creative, simple and effective design elements. • Demonstrated experience with both technical and analytical, including expertise developing complex yet easy-to-grasp graphic deliverables. • Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to deal with ambiguity, self-prioritize, multi-task and meet tight deadlines. • Demonstrated graphic design capabilities using standard desktop programs: • Advanced level proficiency in working with MS Office tools like Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Visio. • Advanced level proficiency with Adobe Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator/Indesign) and Adobe Acrobat. • Experience creating 508 compliant documents.

As a Opportunity Pursuit Proposal Graphics Designer for the Worldwide Commercial Sales (“WWCS”) Core Team at AWS, you support our effort to deliver impactful proposal graphics and visual deliverables to commercial sales customers worldwide. Your responsibilities will involve working with members of AWS Opportunity Pursuit and account teams to develop effective, compelling proposal and presentation graphics and visuals on a variety of government RFIs/RFQs/RFPs (“RFx”), oral presentations, and other critical documents.
The candidate should possess demonstrated commercial sales proposal graphics development experience necessary to effectively support a dynamic and rapidly growing business. The candidate should be self-directed and have a desire to enhance the quality of our proposal graphics and other visuals within the guardrails of AWS Brand guidelines and for the consumption of a mostly commercial sales audience. The candidate should expect to work closely with members of extended teams to understand processes, approaches, discriminators, and other benefits of our proposal that could benefit from imagery. Candidates must also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about AWS’s mission, products, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions visually. Finally, candidates should be willing to support aggressive proposal timelines and commitments when needed.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the single-threaded owner for graphics related to major RFx response efforts and other non-proposal related graphics projects.
- Lead the development and modification of templates in Word, Powerpoint, and other tools that drive the overall look and feel of deliverables.
- Consult and collaborate with Technical Writers, Proposal Managers and other proposal contributors to design, develop cover artwork, and professional graphic concepts for proposals and presentations.
- Conceptualize and render visuals based on narrative and input from stakeholders and requirements dictated by AWS Brand guidelines and customer-defined compliance requirements.
- Perform advanced-level desktop publishing, building section files, formatting, and building PDFs.
- Participate in proposal quality reviews to ensure graphics included in the proposal are effective, compliant, and high-quality.
- Continuously curate, grow, and update our graphics library, including templates and core graphical assets to maximize reuse effectiveness and utility.
- Educate team members on effective visual techniques and design concepts for conveying messages.
- Be a thought leader with respect to proposal responses and the visual nature of team documents.
