Position Overview

Customer Service is responsible for handling telephone and email inquiries regarding products, product availability, and pricing and order status. Daily processing of orders to include faxed and phone orders with all associated paperwork. This position is required to interact daily with teammates, with personnel from VA offices, and occasionally with individual veterans.

Responsibilities

  • Greets customers promptly and courteously including responding to phone calls within first two rings.
  • Contacts customers and vendors concerning backorder status, missing payment information, and other customer service issues.
  • Obtains information and vendor pricing on new product requests. Accurately completes all required information and submits for addition to inventory.
  • Completes paperwork for returns to both First Nation Group and vendors.
  • Completes order confirmations daily.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient information in accordance with company policy and HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One-year customer service experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of medical equipment preferred
  • Typing skills of 50 wpm required
  • 10-Key skills of 6,000 strokes per hour required
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel preferred

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Remote work may be required, as needed.

The physical demands included here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Must pass drug testing.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. While primarily sedentary, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand, as necessary. Extensive use of a computer is required, including a minimum of 6 hours, per day, entering data. May be required to lift up to 20 pounds.

Travel:

Travel is not typically required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full time, hourly non-exempt position. Some overtime is routinely expected.

Must follow all employee health and safety cleaning protocols as established by the work location.
