Job Title: Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Technician

Location: York, PA (USA)

Salary: $100/hr - $4000/wk

REQUIRED: Must be ok to stay until the last patient is cared for, On Call MIGHT be required

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrophysiology Lab Technician to become part of our healthcare team in York, PA. As an EP Lab Technician, you will work alongside cardiologists to diagnose and treat patients with heart rhythm disorders. You will assist in the operation and maintenance of complex electrophysiology equipment, monitoring and analyzing patient data during procedures, and coaching patients during the recovery process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Operating and maintaining complex electrophysiology equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

- Preparing patients for procedures, positioning, and monitoring patients' vital signs and sedation.

- Working directly with cardiologists, assisting with diagnostics and interventions for cardiac rhythm disorders.

- Analyzing and interpreting cardiac data collected during procedures.

- Managing patient records, maintaining records in the equipment and patient database, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA.

- Maintaining inventory and equipment, ordering and receiving supplies, and ensuring equipment maintenance or repair.

- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive, patient-centered approach.

- Educating patients about post-procedure care and coaching them on self-care techniques.

Qualifications:

- Associate degree or higher in cardiovascular technology, nursing or related healthcare field.

- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a cardiac electrophysiology laboratory, including performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.

- Demonstrated knowledge of cardiac rhythm analysis and interpretation, anatomy, and hemodynamics.

- Understanding of equipment operation and maintenance.

- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with patients, physicians, and staff.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.

- Ability to work independently, taking appropriate initiative and utilizing critical thinking skills.
