We are seeking a high energy, motivated Facilities Custodian in our Coxsackie, NY location.
Competitive Pay and Union Benefits
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
Under direction of the Facilities Manager, execute the activities necessary to maintain the facilities consisting of buildings and grounds.
- Maintain a safe environment inside and outside of the facility including breakroom, office, and restroom cleaning, shoveling sidewalks and entrances.
- Keep the warehouse aisles clear of broken wood, glass and plastic.
- Warehouse floor sweeping by hand and with floor cleaning equipment
- Keep trash receptacles emptied.
- Maintaining supplies of copy paper and water coolers in the office.
- Move tables for meetings and back after the meetings end and ensure the rooms are cleaned.
- Replace lightbulbs in the office fixtures.
- Attend Safety Meetings once per month.
- Monthly and Quarterly Building Inspections for review at Safety Meetings and as needs arise.
- Escorting the uniform service as needed and exterminator through the building to check the trapping devices.
- Maintaining inventor of rest rooms, break rooms and cleaning and kitchen supplies.
- Keeping all walkways clear of snow and ice (Shoveling, salting)
- Ordering of all supplies for cleaning bathrooms and break rooms.
- Inspecting all first aid kits and replenishing monthly.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations

QUALIFICATIONS
Education, Certifications and/or licenses:
- High School
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 years
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Experience in general building and grounds maintenance
Proper methods, practices, material, tool, and equipment use common to work needs
Facilities experience and understanding in energy conservation and best practices
Understand and comply with federal state and local laws, codes, and regulations
Ensure facilities are maintained to the standards set forth by the company and that all safety, company, and insurance company requirements are met
Establish and maintain good relationships with those contacted in the course of work
