Currently seeking Field Technicians to provide Rangeland Monitoring support services for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Natural Resources, Range, Management, Ecology or Biology Experience: minimum of 1-2 years field data collection

Also Project Manager position available: Must have Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years experience leading projects with duties of ensuring compliance with all applicable Federal, State, Local and Department of Interior regulations and policy as well as Task Order Terms and Conditions; monitoring and quality control of Task Orders; Assignment of personnel consistent with Task Order requirements

Range Monitoring Data Collection: This category addresses data collection of range monitoring data. It includes contractor support in terms of coordination, pre-season support, data collection, data management, and post-season support. Data collection includes the following:

a. Coordination. After tasks have been awarded, the Field Technicians participate in a preseason planning meeting with the project lead (via phone or in person at the respective BLM office) to establish a schedule of work based on the completed detail sheet from the task order. The detail sheet will be used to discuss monitoring plot prioritization, sampling order strategy, monitoring methodologies and answer any questions related to the monitoring effort.

b. Pre-season Preparation. Field Technician is responsible for being proficient with, and properly executing the monitoring techniques and methodologies required to complete the range monitoring, with Project Manager ensuring the field crew is properly trained in the range monitoring techniques.

c. Data Collection. Provide field data collection services. Data collection requirements will be specifically defined in the task order.

d. Field Reports. Field reports will consist of at a minimum: field data collection sheets (paper and electronic), notes, labeled photos, and maps.
