Shared Operations Leader – Chicago or flexible on location in US

The Shared Operations Leader is responsible for driving significant value creation for the firm through automation and optimization while creating industry leading client experience. This leader will develop and implement plans for highly efficient global business services in regional hubs, centers of excellence, contact centers and shared operations to serve the business and growth. The successful candidate will leverage scale and best practice to deliver efficiency and quality. The Shared Operations Leader will enable capabilities – service management, transition management, continuous improvement, automation, knowledge management - to drive service performance and client experience.

What The Day Will Look Like

  • Lead the team delivering shared operations; drive accountability for service provision by external parties
  • Optimize economies of scale & scope by leveraging resources & standard process- internal & external
  • Support regional priorities to drive efficient and quality services
  • Engage with regions and product & platform delivery to support the company’s growth agenda through provision of centralized services in Growth Operations
  • Drive standardization and acceleration of processes incl. continuous improvement and automation
  • Run financial budgets, forecasts and controls across shared operations
  • Drive strategic projects that will enhance cost reduction, growth and client service objectives
  • Evidence the proactive management of activities through transparent KPIs
  • Establish clear service level agreements & deliver performance consistent with those agreements
  • Create a positive reputation to attract, retain and grow top talent

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

  • Minimum 15 years’ related experience
  • Previous formal people management experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with capability to interact with major clients to cultivate and maintain strong relationships at a most senior level
  • Strong market presence within the industry
  • Excellent communicator (both verbally and in writing)
  • Entrepreneurial attitude with high level of accountability for efficiency and client satisfaction
  • Excellent organization and time management skills; able to multi-task and lead projects and direct reports
  • Ability to drive team(s) to deliver the highest in service, quality, and results
  • Excellent analytical skills with ability to make sound business decisions
  • Known problem-solver who anticipates issues and suggests creative solutions
  • Ability to embrace and motivate change in support of the business unit’s and company’s goals

  • Set realistic expectations and timelines with internal and external clients and produce results
  • Adhere to Aon processes and procedures and all quality service requirements to deliver exceptional value

The salary range for this position is $290,000 - $425,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus and production incentives in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus and production incentives varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
