Knickerbocker Country Club is a private country club located in Bergen County. We are seeking a people oriented, results driven, and organized individual to join our team as a human resource manager and payroll specialist. The human resource manager/payroll specialist will work with our management team to establish policies, as well as ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy.

This person should possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Tactfulness’ and professional courtesy is absolutely required. Candidate must also maintain highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, or other similar software preferred.

Payroll Functions:

Manage and process bi-weekly payroll for all employees (full time, part time and seasonal) for multiple departments. Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll time records by coordinating with department heads.

Prepare and maintain records for new hires, terminations, and any employee related changes. Maintains attendance records for sick, vacation, and other various absenteeism.

Prepare and maintain all unemployment, disability, FMLA forms including but not limited to state/federal documentation and advise employee as needed. Creates filing and follows up on all state programs – NJ Disability, FMLA, NJ Sick pay, etc.

Maintain all medical, dental, vision policies in accordance with the Club policies and procedures. Candidate will be the point person between employee and benefit providers.

Maintains all related 401k reports and transfers in a timely manner.

Assist other employee with benefit forms and information to quickly resolve issues.

Assures that all HR paperwork is in order and properly stored and safeguarded.

Other Duties:

Maintains a list of all State and/or local permits, reports special fees, etc. Assists with clerical work in the accounting department wherever needed, back up for other staff members on vacation. Completes other appropriate assignments made by GM or Controller.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
