Job description

Work on new automotive assembly and sequencing projects in conjunction with Operations and Business Development teams.

· Coordinate with manufacturing partners to discuss concept design of product.

· Determine tooling and coordinate with tooling partners for robotics, ergonomic fixtures and single point tools for manufacturing operation.

· Create cover sheet and operating plan for customer with cost—to—serve analysis and estimate cost of project with capital, startup and annual cost.

· Draft standard operating procedures and design visual aids for work areas.

· Write control plans, PFMEA and MMOG documents for ISO 9001.

· Perform layered process audits for quality.

· Track KPIs for quality and continuous improvement.

· Work with Supply Chain Management team to determine appropriate location for installation of the system for future use.

· Analyze and clean raw data demand and assign part numbers for sequencing material to assembly line.

· Capture and document any issues related to the automated system and coordinate with responsible departments to find root cause followed by corrective action.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, Engineering Management or related, or foreign equivalent. 2 years experience as Industrial Engineer in automotive production facility design.

Work Experience must include the following:

• AutoCAD, Catia and Creo 2.0

• Robotics

• End of arm tooling

• Pick and place automation

• Material handling

• Translating data using CAD

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $85,000.00 per year
