Job Summary
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department and staff, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organizations products and/or development processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
- Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for products.
- Communicates quality standards and parameters to QA team, product development team, and other appropriate staff.
- Coordinates product testing processes.
- Participates in product testing.
- Identifies and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
- Reviews client, customer, and user feedback.
- Lead the workgroup in large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects.
- Identify risks proactively and develop mitigation.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manages a team of up to 15 quality assurance engineers
- Hires and trains quality assurance staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technically related field
- Equivalent experience and/or degrees in other technical fields will be evaluated and considered
- 2+ years of cumulative quality assurance leadership at a manager or team lead level
- 5+ years of experience as a quality assurance tester
- Proven experience with test automation frameworks for UI and Web Service systems.
- Experience with various test management systems
- Experience in delivering multiple commercially deployed products to market
Requirements and General Skills:
- A proven history of technical and organizational leadership
- Proven ability to lead and work within geographically distributed engineering teams
- Mentoring skills and competencies, with an ability to transfer knowledge to junior and senior members of the QA team
- Works well with others and is a skilled communicator both written and oral; acts with professionalism both in person and when working on the phone with partners.
- Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with business analysts, leadership, senior management, and internal and external stakeholders
- Experienced with shipping commercial products using agile software development methodologies
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and work under shifting deadlines with potentially ambiguous or nebulous requirements in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to quickly assess multifaceted problems and complex situations and recognize patterns to identify and resolve the root cause
- Ability to analyze new technologies, emerging standards and market trends, and understand how they affect testing today and, in the future
- Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Cloud deployment best practices on AWS, GCP or Azure
- Experience with DevOps best practices and ability to establish a continuous deployment pipeline
- Proficient computer skills, experience with the Atlassian Development Suite (Confluence & Jira), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
