Job Description:

Responsible for performing the physical and administrative tasks to receive, store, distribute and ship materials, parts, supplies and equipment to support production line and custom assembly manufacturing activities.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in the preparation of packaging and finished goods shipments as required, as well as identifying supplies for these shipments.
  • Interprets and maintains records of products to be shipped by sales order line-item number, and effectively utilizes internal logistics to meet prescribed sales order shipment dates.
  • Within parameters, determines routing and arrangements for shipments, considering such factors as nature of items being shipped, method of handling, size, urgency, and cost.
  • Prepares and maintains records of products shipped and distributes daily tracking.
  • The shipper will process shipments via FedEx systems, Freight Forwarders and manage shipping paperwork.
  • Receives incoming materials.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and may operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.
  • Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
  • Works under limited supervision; fully proficient to perform inventory management tasks of moderate difficultly requiring efficiency and sound judgment.
  • Coordinates inventory management concerns within and outside the department on matters involving information sharing, explanation, or interpretation to understand and reach agreement.
  • Proficient at interpreting a bill of materials relative to detailed unit build plans.
  • Have a proven track record of reliability, responsibility, safety, and solid organization skills.
  • Strong communication and teaming skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Prior Materials Management and Warehousing experience.
  • Experienced Forklift Operator.
  • Demonstrate basic/intermediate Microsoft and computer knowledge
  • Safely operate a forklift and other Powered Industrial Vehicles.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior Inventory Management/Logistics Support experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office suite, and MRP databases.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing Principles.
  • Domestic and International shipping experience.
