Our Physical Therapist (PV) will provide direct clinical care, will participate as a team member in interdisciplinary patient care programs, will keep up with the latest physical therapy techniques that are appropriate for the patients of Johns Hopkins Home Health Services. Will provide in-services to health care personnel within Johns Hopkins Home Care Group as well as to outside groups regarding current acceptable physical therapy techniques. The Physical Therapist shall have knowledge of emergency preparedness and infection control in accordance with JCAHO and Medicare guidelines as well as those of JHHCG. Reports to the Clinical Manager. Can provide services in Washington, DC . Preferably Northeast and or Southeast DC.

Job Requirements:

• Acknowledge current physical evaluation treatment techniques.
• Anticipate the needs of the patient requiring home health care.
• Acknowledge the scope of practice and the supervision requirements of the Physical Therapist Assistants in Washington, DC.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with patients/caregivers and staff at all levels.
• Possess current application of physical therapy evaluation and treatment for patients requiring home health care.
• Has excellent time and organization skills.
• Has good oral and written communication skills with a diverse patient population.
• Supervises the Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Able to identify the health care needs of the of the patients seen in home health care setting.
• Ability to anticipate and access patient response to treatment, making appropriate adjustments to the treatment plan.
• Able to identify organizational system issues and contribute to problem solving process.

Required Licensure:

• Certification in Adult and Pediatric CPR.
• Valid District of Columbia Driver's License.
• Current District of Columbia Physical Therapy License.
• Current Auto Insurance.

Work Experience:

• At least year of clinical experience, acute/subacute/home care preferred.
