In 2020, Better Trucks launched its own delivery services for retailers and fulfillment centers, offering same day, next day and 2-day delivery. Our deliveries now take place in 19 metros across 13 states with 30+ additional metros coming online throughout 2022 and 2023.

Here is where YOU come in. We are seeking independent contractors, delivery driver partners, for our residential delivery team. You get to enjoy the flexibility and luxury of delivering packages in your own vehicle, as a Better Trucks "SHIFT" Driver.

The Delivery Drivers will be responsible for making small package deliveries to homes, apartments, and businesses in the Minneapolis Metro Area

• You are paid appropriately for completing the "Route Block" at $20 - $25 per estimated delivery hour. There are no minimums!
• "Route Blocks" are quoted appropriately by route-length, and a predetermined finish time.
• You will receive a "Payment Quote" for the amount that the route will net you for completing it.
• You will be paid a flat rate for the entire "Route Block"
• All packages must be attempted, with any "failed" packages returned to the station before executing payment.
• GET PAID THE SAME FLAT RATE, EVEN IF YOU FINISH EARLIER THAN THE PREDICTED COMPLETION TIME.
• Payment is done through Direct Deposit ACH
• Drivers are paid the same-day for their route completions
• Larger vehicles are highly desired (but not required)
• Sedans, SUV's, Sprinter Vans, Cargo Vans, "Closed" bed pickup trucks are acceptable
• W9/1099 Requirement

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Minimum age of 21

• Must have a working vehicle

• Must have a valid Driver's License

• Must show proof of insurance

• Must have a valid vehicle registration

• Must undergo a background check going back 7 years

• Must have an iPhone or Android Smartphone

• Must have a smartphone charger

• Must be computer literate and able to operate a Smartphone/GPS device with scanner

• Must treat everyone with respect

• Must treat packages with care

• Must be able to lift 50lbs

• Residing 20-30 miles from the pickup location is recommended, but not required

Onboarding Process and Driver Registration Process:

(1) Fill out the New Driver Registration Page by clicking on "Apply on Website" at the top of this post.

(2) Fill out the Direct Deposit Form that will be sent to you automatically, after completing step 1.

(3) Head over to the iOS or Google Play Store and download the Better Trucks Shift smartphone application, after completing step 2.

(4) After our team reviews your submission, you will then receive a temporary password to join the OnFleet Smartphone Application. It can take up to 72 hours to receive your invite. OnFleet is the app drivers use to start and complete delivery tasks. In addition, you will receive text messages with instructions on how-to pick-up routes.

(5) Review the driver guidelines, delivery standards and protocol, and the OnFleet tutorial guide.

(6) You are all set!

*Payments are issued same-day, through the Better Trucks Shift App. Depending on which type of ACH ability your bank has (RTP, same-day, or next-day), your funds will show up instantly to 1-4 business days from when the payment was issued. Those that belong to a bank that has RTP ability, will see the payments hit instantly, even on weekends, except a federal holiday
