The Machine Learning Engineer contributes, in a lead role, to internal and external stakeholders in the execution, maintenance, and monitoring of MMC’s Data & Analytics offering with a focus on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Will be an expert in applying Machine Learning capabilities across both internal and external client needs. The Machine Learning Engineer will act as a strategic thought partner on issues and opportunities facing the business.

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000+ annually, depending on experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop And Maintain MMC’s Machine Learning Capabilities

• The Machine Learning Engineer will be responsible for developing Machine Learning capabilities in the areas of Supervised and Unsupervised Learning; including Natural Language Processing
• This will include Building Products Customer Potential, Prioritization, Item Recommendation, Risk Modeling, Interaction Summarization/Sentiment, Look-a-Like Modeling, etc.

Consultant For Machine Learning Proposals

• The Machine Learning Engineer will be the subject matter expert on all client proposals involving Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
• This will include understanding the client needs, cooperation with MMC’s Account Team in this proposal team setting, communicating possible Machine Learning options, and designing the Machine Learning component of the proposal.

Customer Database Machine Learning Application

• The Machine Learning Engineer will own the Machine Learning processes to extract additional structure and value from MMC’s building products customer databases.
• This will include clustering and scoring customers along a wide variety of Marketing concepts.

Maintain Machine Learning Training

• The Machine Learning Engineer will be responsible for growing and maintaining MMC’s Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence training.
• This will include ensuring a general understanding of what Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence are/are-not capable of across MMC.

Guide Decisions On Machine Learning Programs/Tools

• The Machine Learning Engineer will be accountable for providing recommendations on program and tool adoption to drive MMC’s Machine Learning capabilities.

Analytics Team Support

• The Machine Learning Engineer will be responsible for contributing and supporting the Analytics team.

Consistent and Proper use of Tools within the Work Management Process

• The Machine Learning Engineer will be accountable for the consistent and proper use of tools within the Work Management Process.

Continuous Education - Role Specific, Industry Specific, Client Specific

Core Competencies & Experience:

• Experience - 3-5 years of related work history is desired.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to adapt quickly to change and work effectively on various types of activities.
• The ability to work productively and effectively when faced with stressful work situations and time pressures.
• Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills, paying close attention to the details.
• High level of quantitative ability, with extensive knowledge of statistics and Machine Learning methods, and expertise with data mining and advanced analytical techniques.
• Strong understanding of database management and structure.
• Viewed as functional subject matter expert in field of Machine Learning and Analytics.
• Experience with database query skills in SQL and experience with other databases, both relational and non-relational in structure
• Proficiency with at least one data mining / quantitative analysis package or programming language (e.g., R, Python, etc.) preferred.
• Proficient with data visualization and report creation with at least one Business Intelligence Tool (e.g., Domo, Tableau, Qlik, Cognos, etc.)
• Proficient in working with Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-pasted environment is a must.
• Open to different and new ways of working that enhance performance.

Education Requirements:
Education- BS/BA Degree (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Technology, or related fields desirable). An advanced degree (MA/MS/MBA/Ph.D./DBA) in related fields is preferred.
