Overview

Deutsche Bank is looking for an energetic and innovative Assistant Vice President Media Relations to join the Deutsche Bank Americas communications team and help support the Director, Head of Media Relations, and Americas businesses. You will help to further build upon positive momentum that the investment bank, the corporate bank, and the international private bank is having in the US and continue that journey by devising and executing campaigns to improve media engagement and coverage to increase the investment bank’s visibility and strengthen its reputation with relevant stakeholders in the Americas and globally. The key focus of the role is on media relations for the research team within the investment bank, but it will also involve collaborating on media relations for the corporate bank and international private bank. Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and execute proactive communications plan to highlight the performance of the investment banking business, highlighting its leading expertize and key insights, as well as create platforms for its leading executives to contribute to industry topics

  • Actively and continuously, manage relationships to various stakeholders and interest groups internally and externally, including editors and reporters, the front office, legal, compliance and finance

  • Oversee communication agencies and other third parties as needed

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Moderate, relevant experience of frontline media relations, both proactive, and reactive

  • Excellent media relationships, work ethic, and enthusiasm to develop new ones

  • A good understanding of investment banking and the ability to translate this business into compelling stories

  • A strong knowledge of daily news agenda across all channels, especially with a focus on social media

Expectations

The salary range for this position in New York City is $85,000 to $140,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration
