The Medicare Formulary Solutions Senior Director will lead the strategic formulary development and execution of our ESI standard Medicare formulary offerings. An emphasis will be placed on leading the team responsible for creation of formulary strategies including evaluation of financial models within clinical guidance. In this role you will work cross-functionally with Regulated Markets, Office of Clinical Evaluation and Policy, Pharma Contracting, Sales & Account Management, Compliance and Finance partners. This role will serve as the primary formulary interface with Sales and Account Management regarding all aspects of standard formularies and represent standard formulary support internally and externally, as needed. Additionally, this role will lead the team responsible for Medicare formulary recommendations presentations to our internal Value Assessment Committee. In its current capacity, the Senior Director will manage a team of five pharmacists.Essential Functions
Directly and indirectly, lead team members responsible for the competitive landscape, financial strategy, operational execution and maintenance of the Express Scripts standard Medicare formularies.
Responsible for staying updated on industry trends and regulations.
Work cross functionally to craft strategies to ensure market leadership position in formulary offerings.
Drives an active coaching and high performance culture within the Medicare Formulary Solutions team.
Ability to lead and participate in cross functional initiatives as assigned.
Address necessary escalations and identify paths for resolution.
Effectively participates in, and contributes to, staff meetings, committees and departmental work groups to share best practices, improve processes, and/or other items relating to provider engagement
Builds constructive and effective relationships across the company.
Qualifications:
BS, Pharmacy or PharmD.
Active Pharmacist license.
10-14 years relevant industry experience.
A result-focused executor, who brings discipline, drive, and accountability to ensure best in class Medicare formularies.
Detailed knowledge and expertise of the regulated markets and the PBM industry.
Adept at working with senior leaders and developing key relationships.
Ability to work cross functionally with multiple departments to gain consensus and move projects and initiatives forward.
An inspirational, compelling leader who is capable of communicating the vision to external and internal constituents; and commanding the respect and enthusiasm.
Experience in attracting top talent, building and developing effective teams.
Demonstrated ability to set priorities including, but not limited to time management and organizational skills.
Proven track record of delivering results of high quality.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 168,200 - 280,400 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
