ECU Health Physicians is multi-specialty group with over 600 providers in more than 140 primary and specialty clinics across more than 110 locations in eastern North Carolina.
Position Summary
1.Utilizes advanced clinical assessment and diagnostic skills to devise and implement patient management activities.
2.Fosters educational development of patients and families.
3.Provides health care consulting.
4.Demonstrates support of research.
5.Provides leadership in areas of clinical expertise.
6.Maintains and advances knowledge and skills in areas of specialization.
7.Participates in Quality Assessment and Improvement activities.
8.Full time position requires commitment to three 12 hour night shifts per week (7p-7a).
9.Provides critical care and management of inpatients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Minimum Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- DEA
- Masters degree in Nursing or equivalent or Masters Degree as Physician Assistant
- Board of Nursing approved Nurse Practitioner Program or Physician Assistant program.
- NC RN licensure & NC Nurse Practitioner or as a Physician Assistant; National Board Certification as an NP/PA required.
- More than 2 years of experience in a health care setting.
- May substitute NP/PA with no previous experience as NP/PA if they have clinical experience in an acute care setting with direct patient care for a minimal of 2 years.
