Job Summary


Wish you were a Kelley influencer? Well, you could be. The Kelley School of Business is hiring Social Media Assistant to promote brand awareness and encourage engagement with current and prospective students.

Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Works with our social media manager to create and execute content across Kelley’s social platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok.
  • Captures the Kelley experience through the eyes of a Kelley student.
  • Highlights student accomplishments and covers quintessential Kelley events and experiences, such as I-Core, case competitions, Kelley events, graduation, and more.
  • Writes, edits, and schedules social media posts using Sprout Social.
  • Develops and produces content for schoolwide social media channels, including but not limited to: images, videos, interviews, and social posts.
  • Maintains and updates content (e.g., photos, videos, status posts) on all social media outlets while building social media fan/follower base from target populations (e.g., students, prospective students, alumni, employers, faculty, staff) as directed.
  • Generates and pitches ideas for, develops, and evaluates social media content.
  • Communicates with Kelley students to build influencer loyalty and track engagement. Oversees Kelley student Takeovers of our Instagram account.
  • Attends Kelley events that take place on campus as needed to curate student life content.

Qualifications


EDUCATION

Required

  • High school diploma or GED

SKILLS

Required

  • Must have exceptional writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain social media campaigns and calendar, develop and evaluate performance metrics, and use social media and blog posting tools.
  • Willing to learn video editing, social media copywriting, graphic creation, and other skills.
  • Proficient with computers, social media platforms, and MS Office Suite.

Work Hours


5-10 hours weekly

Must be available 10 – 15 hours weekly
