Join the Coram/CVS Health team as a Prior Authorization and Billing Prescription Specialist and you will support the Enteral Nutrition Center by requesting and maintaining timely follow up on authorizations needed for successful reimbursement of claims. Partner with our billing centers to ensure that patient accounts are updated, and all information is on file to be able to process the claim. This is not a medical billing position. Must have excellent written and verbal customer service skills and advanced computer skills in order to interact with Coram branch associates. Strong mathematical skills are required.

As a Prior Authorization and Billing Prescription Specialist you will…
Maintain insurance authorizations and billing prescriptions for new and current patients.
Work closely with various staff to collect additional information needed to process authorization requests and submit claims.
Follow-up on outstanding Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMN), Letters of Medical Necessity (LMN), prescriptions, renewals, expiring authorizations and other missing medical documentation to ensure that a patient’s account does not go into a suspended status.
Update insurance providers when a change to a patient account has occurred and work with the insurance company to obtain new authorizations for service.
Communicate with patients, physicians, and insurance companies to update them on status, orders, and missing documentation.
This is a full-time, permanent, benefited position and is NOT through an agency. Typical work hours for this role are Monday – Friday, with shift times that may vary between 7:30AM – 6:00PM (These are 8-hour shifts), with an opportunity for over-time per business need.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 17.00
Maximum: 27.90
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum year experience working in a customer service or call center environment.
- Data entry experience.
- Experience working in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Typing speed of 50+ WPM (words per minute).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a home health/home infusion setting.
- Experience work in a healthcare environment.
- Experience working with healthcare agencies in an effort to obtain medical authorizations.
