Aetna Resources LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in New York, NY: Principal Data Scientist to Lead the development, validation and delivery of algorithms, statistical models, and reporting tools. Duties include: lead the development and execution of new and/or highly complex algorithms and statistical predictive models and determines analytical approaches and modeling techniques to evaluate scenarios and potential future outcomes; establish analytical rigor and statistical methods to analyze large amounts of data, using advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses.; assist with analytical projects from data exploration, model building, performance evaluation and testing; apply in-depth knowledge of systems and products to consult and advise on additional efforts across organization/enterprise; anticipate and solve strategic and high-risk business problems with broad impact on the business area by applying leading-edge theories and techniques to investigate problems, detect patterns and recommend solutions; provide guidance to develop enterprise-wide analytics strategy and roadmap; interacts with internal and external peers and management to share highly complex information/solutions related to areas of expertise and/or to gain acceptance of new or enhanced technology/ business solutions; manages analytics team(s) for one or more product areas; leads development of solutions with moderate complexity and risk with business area implications. Understands and recommends modeling techniques to data scientists; mentors junior team members; leads multiple large cross-functional project teams; and leads the client relationship with senior business leaders as their single point of contact. The typical pay range for this role is:

Maximum: 204500
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in each of the following: Experimental design, causal and empirical modeling methods, model explainers, and healthcare data; Technical data science leadership applying machine learning to large datasets for healthcare or similar applications; Healthcare business case development and cost savings estimation; Big Data, Machine Learning, and Python; Building and running products and applications; Azure Cloud, GCP, and Teradata; PySpark, Python, Shell Scripting, and SQL; and Building data pipelines, data modeling, architecture, and governance concepts.
