Local production company is currently seeking Second and Third Shift Operators.

Minimum Requirements:

Hard worker with a great work ethic with an ability to multi-task. Excel in a fast-paced, evolving business.

Must have an eye for quality and detail. Experience in construction including carpentry, plumbing, steel fabrication, electrical, etc and/or experience in plant operations. Applicant must have a valid NC drivers license and reliable transportation. Must be able to pass random drug tests and initial background check.

Job Duties Include, but are not limited to:

Ability to make decisions by following established procedures and guidelines while actively participating in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow and employee development.

Ability to conduct performance tests on plant equipment and record results as required.

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot plant operational issues and coordinate with other personnel to perform maintenance and repair tasks on equipment and/or systems.

Mechanical aptitude. Ability to read and document gauge and meter readings and calibrations; adjusts material feed rates, ensures meters and pumps are functioning properly.

Performs associated work such as material handling, groundskeeping, and housekeeping duties as needed, including physical labor associated with material handling.

Capable of obtaining and maintaining Forklift certification.

Perform physical labor including palletizing, strapping/securing loads, as well as light housekeeping and maintenance tasks such as painting, cleaning, adjusting valves and pumps, etc.

Work Environment: We will provide specific training once hired. You will be on your feet most of the day, with moderate noise level, working with materials that are often dirty and although most work is indoors, expect outdoor work as temperature and elements will impact the work environment. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. on a regular basis and occasionally be able to lift/move more than 100 lbs. Position specific training will be provided.

Job Type: Full-time (40+ hours per week)
Pay: From $18.00 per hour + shift differential of $2 if 2nd or $3 if 3rd shift. Need candidate willing to stay permanent on second or third shift.

Candidate that has previous supervisory experience is a plus.

Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
