The Department of Radiology, in concert with the entire medical, academic and research staff of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health, seeks to lead the transformation of health care in our region, setting the standard for our nation in achieving the healthiest population possible. Our Radiology department is a fast paced, state of the art imaging center that supports the 425 bed Academic Medical Center.
The Radiology department at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center is made up of seven sections of imaging:
  • CT
  • MRI
  • IR
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • Mammography
  • Diagnostic X-Ray/Medical Imagers
  • Ultrasound
We are currently recruiting for full-time Diagnostic X-Ray, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound Technicians on various shifts. We welcome applications from experienced technologists as well as new grads.
Our teams are dedicated technologists who provide both high quality and high acuity patient care. They work together in a team atmosphere to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our patients to receive exceptional quality imaging.
For our full-time positions (30 hours or more) we are offering a $7500 sign-on/retention bonus. *The bonus is for external hires only, and certain conditions apply.

Responsibilities
Our Medical Imagers perform radiologic procedures requiring advanced technical skills and understanding of complicated requests from specialized clinics. They work in many different areas providing coverage for Outpatients, Portables, Emergency Room, OR, Fluoroscopy and Neuroradiology. Our Radiology staff perform at the highest potential of their license.
Our CT Technologists perform exams requiring advanced technical CT skills and understanding of complicated requests from specialized clinics. Technologists perform a wide variety of exams from Cardiac CT to 3D Interventional Procedures. As the only Trauma One center in the state of NH, we perform many high acuity CT exams.
Our MRI Technologists work in an environment that challenges them with a fast pace and wide variety of advanced imaging exams including Breast Imaging, Cardiac Imaging, Functional Brain Imaging, Multi-Parametric Prostate Imaging and many different MRA studies. The D-H MRI department is a close group of energetic technologists that enjoy working together to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our patients to receive exceptional quality imaging.
Our Ultrasound Technicians (Ultrasonographers) practice with committed Radiology professionals, Obstetricians, Gynecologists and Urologists in one of the most technologically advanced settings in the country. They perform at the highest potential of their license, performing complex examinations such as high risk gynecological, obstetrics, infertility and general imaging on the newest GE & Philips ultrasound systems available.
Our Nuclear Medicine Technologists perform a wide range of scans utilizing diagnostic radiotracers to image the body both anatomically and functionally. We currently operate three SPECT/CT scanners on which we perform a wide array of scans ranging from gastric emptying studies all the way to advanced cardiac imaging. We utilize our PET/CT scanner to perform an array of oncology exams including standard FDG, Neuroendocrine Detectnet and prostate Illuccix studies.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification for Medical Imager:
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved allied health program specific to the modality employed.
  • Must be able to perform duties independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Transport, and/or other computer systems unique to the specific imaging section.
  • Must be able and willing to work: on-call, weekends, holidays and variable shifts.
Minimum Qualifications for CT and MRI Technologist:
  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology with 1 year of experience required.
Minimum Qualifications for Nuclear Medicine Technologist:
  • Graduate of A.M.A. approved school of Nuclear Medicine, registered with the A.R.R.T. or N.M.T.C.B with one year of experience required.
Minimum Qualifications for Ultrasonographer
  • Graduate of accredited program for Diagnostic Medical Sonography and registry eligible required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience performing a wide range of general and specialty ultrasound exams preferred.
  • Experience in high-risk OB, advanced abdominal imaging, complex infertility, and guided biopsies preferred.
  • Required to obtain Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) certification within 6 months of employment; and Abdomen (AB) specialty required within 1 year of employment.
  • Must maintain active certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in specialty areas.
  • Possesses a broad knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, pathology and/or physiological data.
  • Competent in Ultrasound reporting systems.


Required Licensure/Certifications

Required Licensure/Certification Skills for all positions: - Professional registry for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for modality employed is required when mandated by Federal or section certifications or registry eligible. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. - Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire.
