The role of the DXP Sales Development Representative (SDR) is to connect and qualify DXP prospects and customers using various tools such as outbound phone calling, email campaigns, direct mail campaigns, etc. The SDR should have a passion for developing contacts and accounts, a high level of detail to enter information into our DXP CRM; Salesforce. The SDR should be competitive against themselves and the SDR team in making the required number of connections with prospects and customers to drive the DXP value propositions.

Previous Experience
The SDR should have some experience in the field of customer service. Retail, phone based, or something in between will allow them to add value and hit the ground running.
Familiarity with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) package would be a plus. Superior skills using the Microsoft Office suite would also be a plus
Typical Workflow
The Role of an SDR is to connect with prospects and customers, allow the connection to be via phone, email, text, or other. The connection will result in pre-qualification and / or qualification of that contact for future development.
The SDR will use a series of touches to connect. Electronic Marketing, Direct Mail Marketing, Phone Follow Up, and other tools will be used to aid in the connection. The SDR is expected to add value in helping to design these campaigns in local and regional areas as well as the theme and tone of the campaign.
The SDR will have a goal develop relationships with these connections that can result in initial sales and repeat sales. The SDR will qualify accounts to be handed over to the Account Management Team as well as developing the sales relationship with other accounts. There will be times when the relationship develops to the point of allowing the SDR to quote products or services directly to the account.
The SDR will be measuring on:
- # of new connections from account NOT in the DXP database (developing net-new accounts)
- # of new connections from account IN the DXP database (adding depth of existing accounts)
- Sales Volume and Margin
- Special Quarterly incentives based on promotions, marketing, etc.
