We are looking for a Solutions Architect in our Product Technology (Customer Enablement) organization. In this role, you will partner with our Higher Education customers, technology partners, and internal teams (Ellucian Sales, Services, Product Development, and Engineering) to craft highly scalable cloud architectures and solutions that address business problems and accelerate the adoption of Ellucian Cloud/SaaS offerings. In collaboration with sales and customer success, you will drive revenue growth across different customer segments, globally. As a trusted customer advocate, you will help organizations understand best practices around Ellucian's cloud-based solutions, and how to migrate existing workloads to Ellucian Cloud and SaaS. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute strategy across the Higher Ed Tech community. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in technology management, sales, or consulting with an emphasis on enterprise software and/or cloud services. You must also demonstrate the ability to think strategically and solve complex business and technical challenges.

Where you will make an impact

• Partner with Sales and Customer Success teams to formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of Ellucian's cloud-based solutions and services.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of the Ellucian Cloud, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment.
• Work with customer teams to develop requirements, identify or create solutions to business needs, and establish feedback loops into Ellucian's product roadmap and devops cycles.
• Conduct and participate in transfer of knowledge to our customers through focused presentations, speaking events, training sessions, and workshops both virtually and face-to-face.
• Author and contribute to Ellucian customer-facing resources, publications, and reusable content.
• As a key member of the Product Technology team, act as a technical liaison between customers, services, and engineering support teams.
• Build relationships with senior technical leaders within our customer sites to enable them to be advocates across their institution(s).
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for our Cloud and SaaS solutions and capabilities, guiding your peers throughout the entire organization.
• Regularly collaborate with the rest of the Solutions Architecture team to ensure alignment across the team with plans, initiatives and technology to continuously improve interconnectivity and shared results.

What you will bring

• Minimum 7+ years' experience in business and/or technical operations
• 5+ years' of design, implementation, or consulting with software, applications, infrastructure, or engineering experience
• Superior organization, presentation and communication skills
• Skilled working within a highly matrixed global environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional experience architecting, deployment, and/or operating solutions built on Cloud platform(s) (AWS is desirable)
• Experience presenting to and speaking with business and IT leaders and teams
• Technology/software sales consulting or equivalent experience
• Experience migrating or transforming customer solutions to the cloud
• Strong business acumen, with deep expertise in process improvement, IT service management, financial management, business systems, driving transformation and strategic change
• Extensive experience partnering across organizations to achieve objectives, with a track record of success in managing multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
