Pennonicurrently has an opening in our Cape May Court House office for a full-timeSurvey Party Chief/Survey Technician. The employee is expected to perform field surveying duties and coordinate the tasks of field crew members.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct all phases of survey field work including reconnaissance, stake-out, topography, boundary, hydrology, utilization of robotic and Leica total stations with onboard Data Collection, and Leica GPS/GNSS units.
• Accurate field calculations and sketching/notes.
• As-builts of sanitary and storm structures.
• Downloading and compilation of field data and review of raw data.
• Quality control of all survey field documents.
• Communication with field crew members, coworkers, contractors, and clients, as necessary.
• Ensure safety & quality of survey operations.
• General maintenance of survey equipment and vehicles.
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

• Strong communication, mathematics, and computer skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Leica equipment and software products.
• Knowledge of principles of survey measurement, staking, and marking.
• Able to read and understand survey map data and construction plans.
• Able to follow detailed written and/or oral instructions provided by the survey coordinator.
• Attention to accuracy, record keeping, and project schedules.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to work well independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of laser scanning equipment a plus but not required.

Requirements for this position include:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of five (5) years recent survey field experience.
• Prior Party Chief experience a plus.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
